"The vibe on CD One is very get-the-party-started!," he explains. In programming Lift, Dan reviewed which tracks had rocked the hardest in his travels worldwide over the past 18 months, loaded up his crate with those cuts, and then cherry-picked them when he sidled up to the turntables. "I didn't base my mix around what the newest tracks of the week were, but rather, what would make up a great set that captured the vibe of not only where I'm at musically, but also the diversity that inspires me," he insists. JIVE Magazine Interviews with Christopher Lawrence:
DJ DAN is one of America's most highly sought after DJ/producers who continually breaks new musical ground. Beginning as Los Angeles' top techno DJ in the early 90's, he went on to inspire the break-beat trend a few short years later with the classic anthem "Loose Caboose." Later DJ DAN reinvented the sound with "Needle Damage"--a fusion of all that is hard and funky. He has toured the world over, releasing numerous highly celebrated singles and popular CD's.
2004 marked a milestone in Jonathan’s career, not just as a DJ but also as an accomplished producer & Promoter. In addition to playing across the United States at such clubs as Nations, for Buzz in DC or in San Francisco & Denver, Jonathan has completed his first album titled “New Day” which is compiled of all original material and has received credit from such artists as DJ Dan, DJ Micro & the #7 DJ in the World "Christopher Lawrence" who played “Somewhere Else” at the Dance Star Awards in Miami, FL where he won the #1 DJ in America Award as well as one of his most recent projects "Initial State" which has received world wide play from Christopher at venues all over the world.
