my review of live on brighton beach...
i loved it. first good live electronic album in some time. i think alot of that had to do with the crowds, obviously, the fact that it was a free concert, and most importanly, that norman cook was keeping it tight on the ones and twos. when i first heard the album, i couldnt really picture the setting or crowds, and how they reacted to them, but with a little research, i found some video clips of the concert (
soulkool.com/fbs ), that helped me get more into the album.
i would have to say, norman has stayed on top of his game, and continues to deliver good beats and high energy in his mixes.
Highlights of the album are excellent spins of Underworld's "Born Slippy Nuxx," Basement Jaxx's "Where's Your Head At," and his own "Right Here Right Now."
anyone with any thoughts about that?
