The Gang of Four Ink deal with V2 Records - Set to release a new double disc set on Aug. 30 - First Single “To Hell With Poverty 2005” is available on Itunes now - 2005 has been an extremely busy year for legendary post punk outfit, Gang of Four. They recently reunited as the original line up, played to sold out crowds across England this past December/January, received mass critical acclaim, AND have recorded a new double disc set, to be released by V2 Records.

Says Andy Gershon, President of V2: “I have always been a fan of Gang of Four and it is great honor to be able to work with them, when music today is reflecting the influence and importance of this band.”

The double disc set will feature both re-recordings of the Gang of Four’s classics such as “To Hell with Poverty” (the first single), “I Love a Man in a Uniform” and “Damaged Goods”. In addition, this set will include new mixes from artists such as The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Ladytron, Dandy Warhols and The Futureheads among others.

The first offering from these sessions is a re-recording of their seminal post-punk classic "To Hell With Poverty 2005." The song is exclusively available via iTunes.

For the first time since 1981, The Gang of Four as their original line up will be taking the stage across the US: Jon King, Andy Gill, Dave Allen, and Hugo Burnham. Their dates kicks off at Coachella Music Festival on Sunday May 1 mainstage at approximately 6:00
