Having received success as a member of the Moonies and rhyming along side his partner Cumulus, Rob Rush felt it was time to branch out with his solo effort. On Childhood Hero, Rush continues to dish out his unorthodox rhymes that embrace his philosophy of making music simple music for himself . Rush represents the everyman’s MC. Beyond being able to connect to his subject matter, his desire to grow up to be like his childhood heroes is something everyone can relate too. From riding over classic Dre and Rakim tracks to referencing Common and Big Daddy Kane, Rob Rush lives hip-hop. Even though he was 10 years late, Rush’s enthusiasm and dedication will help him to carve out a whole new fanboy based niche that provides accolades to the greats and a platform for reminiscing.
